It was Hannover 96, of all teams, who managed to breach the Böllenfalltor fortress for the first time: goals from Maurice Neubauer and Stefan Teitur Thordarson secured a 2-0 victory for the Lower Saxony side. This was despite Darmstadt being considered a bogey team for Hannover. No other team has caused the 96ers to lose more often in the 2. Bundesliga than Darmstadt 98.

Hannover 96 have conceded all four of their league goals this season from set pieces. They were beaten once from a penalty in each of the two matches played, and also conceded one goal each from a free kick and a corner. Christian Titz’s team has yet to concede a goal from open play. That, at least, should give the Hannover side some encouragement.
When the game becomes more demanding, Darmstadt 98 are among the strongest teams in the league. With a success rate of 54.3 percent for difficult passes, SV Darmstadt 98 boasts the best performance of all teams. Hannover 96 follows closely behind with 52.8 percent. Both teams are thus particularly distinguished by their passing accuracy in challenging situations.
