The second round of the DFB Cup has been drawn: SV Darmstadt 98 will host FC Schalke 04 in the upcoming cup round at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. This was revealed by the draw at the German Football Museum with "draw fairy" Dr. Felix Brych under the supervision of draw manager and DFB Vice President Peter Frymuth on Sunday evening (August 31st) live on the ARD Sportschau.
Paul Fernie: „We’re really looking forward to our first home cup game in three years. Of course, it’s a bit strange that we’re playing two games against Schalke within a few days, but I’m sure we’ll have a special evening at the Bölle.“
UPDATE: On Wednesday (September 3rd), the DFB announced the exact match schedule. The game will kick off at 8:45pm on October 29.

The Bundesliga finalised the match schedules for matchdays three through six on Wednesday (July 15th): Darmstadt's home game against Hannover 96 on matchday three will take place on Sunday. This will be followed by their away game against 1. FC Kaiserslautern on Saturday at 1pm. The home game against Arminia Bielefeld on Friday evening and the away game in Wolfsburg, also on Friday evening, have also been confirmed.
