Young player Asaf Arania was able to experience a very special moment at the Lilies' away game in Wolfsburg. In the 85th minute, Torsten Lieberknecht substituted the U19 player; it was the first Bundesliga minutes for the 18-year-old right-back. For the last home game of this Bundesliga season, the Südkurve has thought of something special again: “Flag home game day” has been declared for Sunday (12.05/3.30pm). Next week, SV 98 will write to all season ticket holders and, as every year, give them the opportunity to extend their season ticket. As usual, every season ticket holder will receive the details of this procedure by email in good time. With today's announcement we are already communicating the prices for the day and season tickets for the new season. High fine for SV 98 after fireworks in the derby / “massive damage”
The sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) sentenced SV Darmstadt 98 to a fine of 99,000 euros for the derby home game against Eintracht Frankfurt in February. The reason for this is the burning of pyrotechnic objects. The SV 98 can use around a third of the fine for security or violence prevention measures.

The sports court of the German Football Association has sanctioned SV Darmstadt 98 for incidents surrounding the home game against VfL Wolfsburg. The reason for the fine of 10,000 euros was the throwing of chocolate coins, which is said to have caused the game to be interrupted. The SV 98 can use around a third of the fine for security or violence prevention measures.
HFV integrates top talent team into Hessenliga
SV Darmstadt 98 will compete in the Hessenliga with its own team at the start of the 2024/25 season. The Hessian Football Association (HFV) announced this on Monday (May 6th). The application, submitted in February, was approved by the association's committee for game operations and football development, chaired by Robert Neubauer.
After their loans: Sesay and Crosthwaite will remain with their clubs
John Peter Sesay and Henry-Jon Crosthwaite will not return to SV 98 after the end of this season. For both players, contractual conditions were met over the course of the current season, which will result in the previous loan contracts being converted into a permanent deal. Sesay is now contractually bound to the Luxembourg first division club Union Titus Petingen, Crosthwaite now has a further contract with Hallescher FC. It was agreed not to disclose further details.
