In 3 phases: Schalke pre-sale starts on Wednesday

After three years, a cup match will finally take place again at the Merck Stadium. On October 29th, the Lilies will host FC Schalke 04 in the second round of the DFB Cup at 8:45pm. Advance ticket sales for the match will be divided into three phases. Phase 1, season holders starts next Wednesday (September 10th) at 12pm both online and in the ticket shop at Bölle. The German Football League (DFL) officially scheduled second division matchdays 8 to 14 on Thursday (September 4th). The Lilies will play twice on Saturday evenings during this period: The home games against Arminia Bielefeld (November 1st at 8:30pm) and SpVgg Greuther Fürth (November 22nd at 8:30pm) will be floodlit games at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor.

The Lilies used the international break to play a friendly against SV Waldhof Mannheim. Florian Kohfeldt's team drew 5-5 (1-2) with the third-division side at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. Bialek and Lakenmacher each scored twice, with Furukawa also scoring.

In addition, the Lilies' two national team players are in action, SV 98 members can still register for the biggest team photo in Lilies' history, and the Darmstadt fan squad celebrated a big away win. What does Nico Beigang actually do?

Nico Beigang made his professional debut for SV Darmstadt 98 in the 2000/01 season – a five-minute cameo in a Regionalliga match against VfR Mannheim (1-1). The trained striker remained loyal to the Lilies for eight seasons, scoring a total of 45 goals in 152 league matches. In the summer of 2007, he moved to Stuttgarter Kickers, then to SSV Jahn Regensburg in 2008, Sportfreunde Lotte in 2010, and finally, six months later, to SpVgg Weiden. At these four stops, Beigang made a further 86 competitive appearances and scored 16 goals. How does Nico Beigang look back on his time at Darmstadt? How did he end up at the Lilies? Baumann appointed to DFL Supervisory Board

Anne Baumann is now a member of the Supervisory Board of the German Football League (DFL). Baumann, who serves as a member of the Executive Committee for Finance at SV 98, was unanimously appointed to the board by representatives of the 2. Bundesliga at the DFL General Assembly (September 3rd).

Björn Müller leaves the Lilies‘ youth academy

Björn Müller will no longer serve as sporting director at the Lilies' Merck Youth Performance Center (NLZ) on Kastanienallee at his own request. The 48-year-old will take up the position of sporting director of Hertha BSC's football academy, effective immediately.
