Fan Information for the KSC game

SV Darmstadt 98 will be playing away against Karlsruher SC on Sunday (May 3rd/1:30pm) at the Wildpark Stadium for the 32nd matchday. To ensure you are well prepared for your trip to KSC, here is a summary of all the important information for your visit to the stadium.

Arrival/Parking

Arrival/Parking by Car, Nine-Seater Van, and Coach:

For arrival via the A5 motorway, it is recommended to exit at the Bruchsal interchange, continue on the B35 federal highway towards Graben-Neudorf, and then take the B36 to Karlsruhe. Exit the B36 at the Karlsruhe-Neureut exit and continue via Linkenheimer Landstraße and Willy-Brandt-Allee onto Adenauerring towards the stadium. The route for visiting fans is clearly marked with road signs. Please note that the suggested route to the stadium by a navigation system may differ from the route described above. Should any vehicles unexpectedly fail to exit the A5 motorway at Bruchsal and continue towards Karlsruhe, please follow this route: Exit the A5 at the Karlsruhe-Mitte interchange (exit 45). Then follow the southern bypass (K9657) towards Wörth. Leave the southern bypass at the Bulacher Kreuz interchange (exit 4) and continue on Brauerstraße towards the city centre. Follow this road (Brauerstraße becomes Rheinhold-Frank-Straße, then Adenauerring) towards the stadium. Directions for away fans are clearly marked with traffic signs.

Parking:

Away fans should only approach from the direction of Mühlburger Tor (west). Away buses, cars, and nine-seater vans should park in the new away parking area (see map). Important: We have been informed by Karlsruhe of the following parking fees: Cars and nine-seater vans pay €10, coaches €20. The away parking area opens three hours before kickoff, so at 10:30am on Sunday. The „Birkenparkplatz“ opposite the stadium is no longer designated exclusively for away fans but still offers parking spaces as long as there are available spots.

By train: A special train will be running to our away match in Karlsruhe. This train travels directly to Karlsruhe without any stops and returns to Darmstadt after the game. Travel is possible with a regular Germany Ticket or a valid local transport ticket.

  • Arrive Darmstadt Hbf: 18.11

Important: This is a pilot project, and SV 98 assumes responsibility for any potential damage to the train equipment. Therefore, we expressly ask all passengers to treat the provided carriages responsibly and respectfully. Smoking is strictly prohibited on the train. Please adhere to these rules and work together to ensure a pleasant and safe journey for everyone. Only if this service proves successful can it be offered again for future away matches. The Südtribüne Darmstadt e.V. (South Stand Darmstadt Association) will be present on-site and in the train compartments and will be available to answer any questions. Thank you for your support! At Karlsruhe train station, luggage can be stored in lockers. The locker facilities are located in the west wing of the station hall, to the right of the McDonald’s, or between platforms 12 and 13 in the underpass leading to the long-distance bus station. IMPORTANT: Shuttle buses will be running on Sunday to transport Darmstadt fans from Karlsruhe Central Station to the stadium and back again. The buses will be waiting at the south exit of the station.

Stadium

Stadium Opening: The entrance to the away section and the away ticket office will open 120 minutes before kickoff. On Sunday, this will be at 11:30 AM.

Away Section: The away section comprises Block NO (standing) and Block N4 (seated).

Away Entrance: Access is no longer directly from the street (Adenauerring) as it was last season, but via the newly completed away entrance at the away parking area.

Ticket Office: There will be a ticket office in Karlsruhe where both standing and seated tickets will be available. Please note the €2 surcharge for tickets purchased at the ticket office. The ticket office opens at 11:30am , the same time as the stadium.

Bag Check: Fanny packs and small handbags are permitted but will be checked by security. Bags larger than A4 size are not allowed. There is no designated bag check at the away entrance.

Food and Drink: One 0.5-litre Tetra Pak per person is permitted. Cashless payment (debit, credit, smartphone) is accepted at all ticket counters in the stadium, while cash payments are accepted at designated counters. Please pay attention to the signs above the ticket counters.

Visiting fans with disabilities:

  • KSC has designated spaces for wheelchair users in the standing area of ​​the away section (NO). For matches where security is a concern, the club reserves the right to sell tickets for the home section.
  • Wheelchair access is via the east stand of the BBBank Wildpark stadium. A ramp or elevator provides access to the away section from the east stand.
  • If you have any questions or problems, our fan liaison officer for inclusion, Laura Söhner, is available at the information point in front of the East entrance.
  • Audio description for visually impaired visiting fans is only possible after prior registration with the fan liaison officer for inclusion.

The following fan paraphernalia are generally permitted in Karlsruhe:

  • small flags (pole length up to 2m) with plastic conduit
  • Double holder (rod length up to 2m) with plastic conduit
  • 5 drums (open on one side) including mounting hardware (e.g., one strap per drum)
  • 3 megaphones including a set of spare batteries
  • Fence flags and banners may be hung on the fence, breakwaters, and other open areas in blocks N0 and N4. Fence flags/banners are not permitted in any other blocks, nor at escape gates or in the entrances! Exception: The escape gate must remain easily open!

There is a platform for the lead singer in the away section.

Furthermore, agreed upon with Karlsruhe and already allocated:

  • 10 large waving flags (pole length over 2 metres).
