As previously announced, SV Darmstadt 98 is utilising the combined international break in September and October for a planned club trip to San Antonio, Texas. The Lilies will visit Darmstadt’s sister city from September 25th to October 1st and play a friendly match against their partner club, San Antonio FC, on Tuesday, September 29th. In addition to this sporting highlight, the team and the delegation—comprising members of the executive board and management—will attend various scheduled engagements and events. Fusion energy company Focused Energy is serving as the main partner for the US trip as part of its premium partnership. Furthermore, the City of Darmstadt will undertake a business trip to San Antonio, led by Mayor Hanno Benz, from September 27th to October 1st, 2026.

The match against San Antonio FC is scheduled for September 29 at 7:30pm (CT). In addition, the Lilies will train at the SAFC facilities. The itinerary for their time in the Texas city includes official receptions hosted by SV 98 and the City of San Antonio, offers extensive insights into the local economy and corporate structures, and features planned cultural activities. Meetings have been arranged with SAFC and SS&E to facilitate an exchange of knowledge across various areas. Also on the agenda is a meeting with representatives from the University of Texas (UTSA), which will include attending a sporting event. SV 98 will also carry out a joint social initiative on-site in collaboration with SAFC.
For this US tour, SV 98 is working closely with the Bundesliga, which supports its clubs in boosting the league’s global visibility as part of an overarching international marketing strategy.

SV Darmstadt 98's U21 team suffered a 2–0 (0–0) defeat away at Eintracht Stadtallendorf over the weekend. In a match that was evenly contested for long stretches, the Young Lilies held their own for a long time but failed to capitalise on their chances. Two goals after the break decided the match in favour of the hosts.

Construction of the new functional building at the Merck youth performance center of SV Darmstadt 98 is complete. With the two-story modular building, the club is improving the infrastructure for its youth players, coaches, and staff at Kastanienallee.
