Heart Lilies receive the Play Fair Prize

The Herzenslilien (Heart Lilies) were awarded the Play Fair Prize of the German Olympic Society (DOG) Darmstadt on July 2, 2026, at the Darmstadt Stadium. The prize honours exemplary gestures in youth and grassroots sports, as well as projects that embody social commitment in a special way.

The „Heart Lilies“ are a joint initiative of SV Darmstadt 1898 and Klöber Insurance Brokers that specifically supports non-profit organisations and projects in the South Hesse region – through donations from raffle ticket sales, matchday sponsorships, and partnership contributions generated at every Darmstadt home game. Small organisations receive not only financial support but also increased visibility: both in the stadium and online. Since July 2025 (2026/2027 season), a total of €123,263.15 has been raised for non-profit projects in the region.

„For us, it was clear from the beginning: helping must be concrete. The Heart Lilies deliver donations directly to where they are needed – without any detours. The fact that the German Olympic Society (DOG) has recognised this with the Play Fair Award makes us proud and encourages us to continue on this path,“ says Kevin Klöber, Managing Director of Klöber Insurance Brokers.

Volker Harr, Vice President of SV Darmstadt 98: “We are incredibly pleased that the Herzenslilien (Heart Lilies) have been awarded the DGO Prize. The targeted support of charitable projects and associations in our region has long been an important part of SV 98’s DNA. With Klöber, we have found a strong partner with identical values to bring this joint initiative to life.”

The prize was presented by DOG Vice President Norbert Lamp and Hannes Marb. Desirée Crößmann, Annette Lüding, Alexander Iglhaut, and Jutta Derheim accepted the award on behalf of Herzenslilien. Volker Harr and Martin Kowalewski represented SV Darmstadt 1898.

The award is recognition for everyone involved: sponsors, clubs, fans, and the many people who make a big difference with small contributions. For Herzenslilien, it was a special moment – and at the same time, an incentive to continue their joint commitment in the region.
