Lilies Across the Board: Traditional team in double action this weekend

This coming weekend (June 13th & 14th), the veterans team will be playing two matches. We'll give you all the details. We also celebrated two birthdays this week and have several events coming up. At the same time, we're keeping an eye on how our partner club, San Antonio FC, is doing. We've compiled all this and more for you in this edition of Lilies Across the Board.

+++ Double shift for the veterans team +++

The SV Darmstadt 98 veterans team has two matches scheduled for this coming weekend. On Saturday (June 13th), they will be playing away against SV Blau-Gelb Frankfurt to celebrate their 100th anniversary. Kick-off is at 5pm. The venue is Ginnheimer Wäldchen 4, 60431 Frankfurt am Main.

On Sunday (June 14th), they have two more games. To mark the 125th anniversary of SG Arheilgen, the veterans team will participate in a three-team tournament. In addition to SV Darmstadt 98, SG Arheilgen and SpVgg Bayern Hof will also be competing. The tournament will be played in a round-robin format with each match consisting of two 20-minute halves. The tournament starts at 2pm. The venue is Würzburger Str. 60, 64291 Darmstadt.

Yesterday, Tuesday (June 9th), Martin Kowalewski celebrated his 56th birthday. The Lilies extend their warmest congratulations to their Managing Director of Marketing and Sales and wish him good health and many happy moments in the coming year. All the best, Martin!

+++ SV 98 is looking for volunteers +++

SV Darmstadt 98 is looking for enthusiastic Lilies fans for the new FuFa volunteer team. Volunteers will assist stadium visitors before and during matches and help with various tasks in and around the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. +++ Isac Lidberg leaves Darmstadt +++

Isac Lidberg is leaving Darmstadt for Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga. The striker joined Darmstadt from FC Utrecht in August 2024. The 27-year-old made a total of 64 appearances for SV Darmstadt 98, scoring 32 goals and providing 11 assists. The Stockholm native made his debut for the Swedish national team in November 2024 and has since earned three caps for his country. You can find all the information here.

+++ The first Lilies flea market +++

Darmstadt 98 are holding their first flea market in the forecourt of the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. On July 12th, everyone is welcome to browse the various stalls free of charge. There’s also the opportunity to run your own stall after registering in advance. All stall fees will be donated to the animal welfare organization Kellerranch e.V.

+++ Book reading by Peter Kunz at Bölle +++

On June 26th, Peter Kunz will be a guest at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. As part of the presentation of his new book, „Gude, ihr Labbe! Humor ist Chefsache“ (Hey, you idiots! Humour is a matter for the boss), visitors can expect an entertaining evening. The event will not only feature readings from the book: Peter Kunz will combine storytelling with improvisation and direct interaction with the audience. He will also offer insights into the role humor can play in everyday work life, negotiations, and leadership. Here you will find all the important information and the tickets:

+++ San Antonio FC secures three points late in the game +++

San Antonio FC secured another three points. With their 2-1 away win against Tulsa FC last Sunday (June 7th), SAFC maintained their lead in the league standings.

The hosts initially took the lead in the 18th minute through Remi Cabral. However, the visitors remained unfazed and equalised shortly after halftime. Following a cross into the penalty area, Mikey Maldonado headed the ball powerfully into the left corner (51st minute). For a long time, it looked like the match would end in a draw, but San Antonio struck again in stoppage time. After a cross from the left wing, Luke Haakenson was on hand to head home the winning goal in the 91st minute, sparking jubilant celebrations.

+++ Lionel Richie Tribute Night at Bölle +++

On June 27th, the time has come. Jimmie Wilson will bring hits like „Hello,“ „Stuck on You,“ and „All Night Long“ live to Böllenfalltor at the „Lionel Richie Tribute Night.“ The American singer, who lives in Darmstadt, will provide an evening filled with familiar melodies. The perfect setting will be created in the south wing of the ENTEGA VIP Lounge in the South Business Area of ​​the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. Doors open at 8:30pm, and the show starts at 9:30pm Standing room only. Seating is available for those with limited mobility. Tickets are still available online and at the box office.

Impressive run: U21 finishes season with a 5-3 victory

An eight-goal thriller to close out the season. The SV Darmstadt 98 U21 team took to the pitch one last time this season on Saturday (May 30th) – away against FC Eddersheim. The young Lilies secured a 5-3 victory in Eddersheim, finishing the 2025/26 Hessenliga season in eleventh place. Even more remarkable, however, was the U21's run at the end of the season: the Blue and Whites won their last five matches, scoring an impressive 22 goals in the process.
