Outfield Players

The outfield players train on Wednesdays during the following time:

  • 2:30pm – 3:45pm for the birth years 2020 to 2017
  • 4pm – 5.15pm for the birth years 2016 to 2013

In small groups with a maximum of 15 participants, the children receive individual support and development in the areas of technique, tactics and coordination from a coach from the SV 98 youth performance center.

  • Each training session focuses on various aspects such as passing, dribbling, feints, shooting, coordination, tackling (offensive & defensive), and game situations. This makes the training ideal for all children who enjoy playing football and want to improve.
  • The cost per training block is €98.00. A training jersey is included when booking two training blocks within one year (a second jersey is included from the fifth block booked within one year onwards).

Goalkeeper

The Software AG-Lilien goalkeeper training takes place every Monday under the direction of a goalkeeper coach from SV 98. Training is also conducted in two groups:

  • 3pm – 4pm for the birth years 2019 to 2015
  • 4pm – 5.15pm for the birth years 2014 to 2009.

Disappointment & pride

Darmstadt's 2-1 defeat at Karlsruher SC also ended any remaining theoretical hopes the South Hessian club had of finishing the season in the top three. The loss at the Wildpark stadium served somewhat as a symbol for the past few weeks, during which SV 98 had only managed one point from five matches since the international break in March. Following the game on Sunday afternoon, the Darmstadt players addressed the assembled media representatives with mixed feelings.

Three points! SV Darmstadt 98's U21 team secured a victory in the Lotto Hessenliga on Saturday afternoon (May 2nd). In their match against Hünfelder SV, the young Lilies overcame an early deficit to clinch a convincing 3-1 win. This result puts the U21 team currently outside the relegation zone. A bitter end in Karlsruhe: After 90 entertaining minutes in which both teams sought salvation in attack, Darmstadt suffered a narrow defeat. The final score was 2-1 after a late goal from the home side, following Isac Lidberg's earlier equaliser. After the match, the players were particularly frustrated with the missed opportunities in the first half.
