Klütz was part of the Lilies‘ judo department since 1972, held a black belt, and competed successfully in the state league for SV 98 for many years. But he was much more than a dedicated athlete: Uli shaped the judo department and the entire club through his volunteer work.
He was head of the judo department, assumed responsibility as overall youth leader, and was elected vice president of SV 98’s executive committee in 1996. With his passion, drive, and tireless commitment to the club, he was a role model for many.
With Uli Klütz, we are losing not only a deserving member and athlete, but above all a valued person and friend. Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.
We will miss Uli very much.
