SV 98 has found a new transition coach in Marcel Titsch Rivero. The 36-year-old succeeds Maximilian Mehring in this role; Mehring has been serving as Sporting Director of the youth academy since March of this year.

During his playing career, Titsch Rivero made 133 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga and a total of 125 appearances in the 3. Liga. He also played two matches in the Bundesliga. A native of Frankfurt, he played for Eintracht Frankfurt during his youth and successfully made the leap to the professional level there. He spent the longest period of his professional career playing for 1. FC Heidenheim; he also wore the jerseys of SV Wehen Wiesbaden and VfR Mannheim.
