Together for mental health – We Lilies and Merck
As part of the social campaign "Under the Sign of the Lily," SV Darmstadt 98 and its premium partner Merck are focusing on the mental health of young people. The goal of both partners is to raise awareness among young people about this issue, to better understand stress factors, and to develop individual strategies for everyday life.
A special school project took place at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. Four ninth-grade classes from the Justin-Wagner-School in Roßdorf and the Georg-Christoph-Lichtenberg-School in Ober-Ramstadt participated. Under the guidance of tomoni mental health gGmbH, the students openly and curiously discussed mental health and learned methods for strengthening it. The interactive workshops offered the students space for exchange, reflection, and practical tips for dealing with challenges and stressful situations in their school and everyday lives.
„Mental health is the foundation for learning and life skills. Together, we are creating spaces where young people can thrive,“ emphasised Maxi Nieber, project manager at Merck. She further explained, „This aligns with our commitment as a company to social responsibility and to keep young people in mind.“
The project days concluded with a guided tour of the Merck Stadium and a pizza lunch, where the students relaxed and enjoyed the end of the day.
