The fan shop at Bölle will remain closed on Monday.
The SV Darmstadt 98 fan shop at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor will be closed next Monday (June 22nd). It will reopen on Tuesday (June 23rd) with its regular opening hours.
SV 98 is making changes to the head coaching positions for its U21 and U19 teams for the upcoming season. Sebastian Schmitt, who has been in charge of the U21s since February, will now coach the U19s. Conversely, the current U19 coach, Patrick Kurt, will take over the position with the U21s.
Maximilian Mehring: „Back in February, Patrick, Sebastian, and I made the decision to establish this coaching setup for the U21 and U19 teams starting this summer. At the time, we all agreed that we didn’t want to make the switch during the current season so that both could continue working with their respective teams until the end of the season, ensuring a smooth transition. We are convinced that this arrangement is the optimal solution for our two oldest youth teams, as both Patrick and Sebastian, with their respective backgrounds, strengths, and approaches, are an excellent fit for the overarching development goals of the U21 and U19 teams.“
The 33-year-old Schmitt previously worked in Darmstadt’s youth academy between 2018 and 2020 before spending four years at TSG Hoffenheim’s youth academy. From July 2024, he initially served as assistant coach for Darmstadt 98’s U21 team and, as head coach, successfully led the team to safety in the Hessenliga (fifth tier) during the second half of last season. Kurt, also 33 years old, has been working as a coach at the youth performance center of SV 98 since 2014 and was responsible for the U17 team of the Lilies as head coach from 2018 to 2024, before taking over the coaching position of the U19 team from July 2024.
