From the kickoff, SV Darmstadt 98 looked to establish a clear lead against the regional league team. Semih Güler scored for the dominant Lilies after just five minutes. After a quarter of an hour, SV 98 doubled their lead: El Idrissi was set up on the right edge of the penalty area, and with a sliding tackle, he flicked the ball over the keeper, leaving Lakenmacher with only his head to score. Against a deep-lying opponent, the South Hesse side continued to enjoy plenty of possession – and continued to score: Güler continued to score, first to make it 3-0 (20′), then 4-0 (25′). The Lilies created further chances until halftime, but the fifth goal never came.
After the break, it took eight minutes for Lakenmacher to make it 5-0. Shortly after, U21 player Steineck made it 6-0. Lakenmacher then added another goal to the scoresheet (72nd minute), and just moments later, Steineck scored again. Güler also found the back of the net again in the 81st minute after a nice team move. The goal, making it 9-0, was the last of the game.

In their match against Hünfelder SV, the young Lilies overcame an early deficit to clinch a convincing 3-1 win. This result puts the U21 team currently outside the relegation zone. "Our trend is clearly upward," said a delighted U21 coach Sebastian Schmitt.
The successful collaboration between the Hessian Disabled and Rehabilitation Sports Association (HBRS) and SV Darmstadt 98 will continue long-term: Both partners have extended their existing agreement to promote inclusive sports indefinitely. This sends a clear signal for the sustainable development of inclusion and disability sports in Hesse.
A bitter end in Karlsruhe: After 90 entertaining minutes in which both teams sought salvation in attack, Darmstadt suffered a narrow defeat. The final score was 2-1 after a late goal from the home side, following Isac Lidberg's earlier equaliser. After the match, the players were particularly frustrated with the missed opportunities in the first half.
The away form continues to be poor: SV 98 suffered a 2-1 (0-0) defeat against Karlsruher SC. Lidberg scored the equaliser for the team from southern Hesse in the 70th minute.
