+++ Nürnberger in action for Bulgaria +++

Fabian Nürnberger has already appeared on the pitch for the Bulgarian national team three times – and the Lilies‘ left-back is back in action for Bulgaria during the current international break. In the UEFA Nations League (League C, Group 3), there is an away game against Luxembourg on Friday (15.11/8:45pm) before the team meets group runners-up Belarus on Monday (18.11) at 8:45 p.m. at home.

These two matches are the last group games in the Nations League. Bulgaria could then continue in the knockout phase. But in a balanced group, points are urgently needed. With two wins, the Bulgarians around Nürnberger could even jump to first place and secure an excellent starting position for the next round. You can watch both games live on the DAZN streaming service.

+++ Point win thanks to a last-minute goal +++

Last Sunday (November 10th) the ball rolled across the pitch again in the Darmstadt district league. In the home game, the SV 98 fan team welcomed the second team from TSG Wixhausen. Thanks to a late goal from Julian Schreiber in stoppage time, the “zwote Zwote” were able to fight for a 1-1 draw and thus secure a valuable point. The team is currently in sixth place in the table.

The next games are coming up soon: On Wednesday (November 13th) at 7:30pm they will play on home court against FTG Pfungstadt II. The following Sunday (November 17th) the team will face league leaders VFR Eberstadt at 3 p.m. Both games will take place on the artificial turf pitch on Ostendstrasse in Pfungstadt. The Lilies fan team is happy about any support from both parties.

+++ Lily birthday greetings +++

Long shall they live! On Saturday (November 16th) there will be two reasons to celebrate in the Lilien family: Christopher Busse, athletic trainer at SV 98, is celebrating his 35th birthday. Marco “Toni” Sailer can also look forward to his special day on the same date. The man with the beard is 39 years old. We wish you both a happy birthday!

Darmstadt's 2-1 defeat at Karlsruher SC also ended any remaining theoretical hopes the South Hessian club had of finishing the season in the top three. The loss at the Wildpark stadium served somewhat as a symbol for the past few weeks, during which SV 98 had only managed one point from five matches since the international break in March. Following the game on Sunday afternoon, the Darmstadt players addressed the assembled media representatives with mixed feelings.
