After missing the match point on the penultimate matchday, the tension at the season finale was palpable – and the game got off to a particularly unfortunate start: The visitors took a 1-0 lead in the 9th minute after a consistently executed attack. However, the lead didn’t last long: striker Nils Thierolf took charge and turned the game around. With a flawless hat trick in the 20th, 25th, and 28th minutes, he brought the Lilies back to winning ways – and had the SVD fans cheering. In the second half, Thierolf completed his perfect day with the final score of 4-1 in the 62nd minute.
