In memory of the victims of National Socialism

In January of this year, SV Darmstadt 98 organised a memorial walk through Darmstadt to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp. Now the Lilies plan to hold a similar walk again on August 20th. This occasion will focus on remembering the victims of National Socialism. The memorial walk will begin at Schlossgartenplatz in Darmstadt and end at Dr.-Karl-Heß-Platz in front of the Merck Stadium at the Böllenfalltor.

The Lilies‘ Memorial Walk begins at 5pm at Schlossgartenplatz in Darmstadt, the founding site of SV 98. From there, the route continues along Ernst-Ludwig-Straße and Holzstraße, past the Jugendstilbad swimming pool. The route then continues along Hochstraße and Annastraße to its final destination at Dr. Karl-Heß-Platz in front of the Merck Stadium at the Böllenfalltor.

During the walk, stops will be made at various stumbling blocks. These sites commemorate SV 98 club members who were persecuted or murdered during the Nazi era. The memorial walk ends at around 7:30pm at Dr. Karl-Heß-Platz in front of the Merck Stadium at the Böllenfalltor.

SV Darmstadt 98 cordially invites the entire Lilien family to take part in this memorial walk under the motto “Never again”. You can register for free here.
