Lilies win in Walldorf
SV Darmstadt 98 won their fourth pre-season friendly. The Lilies defeated regional league side FC-Astoria Walldorf 4-1 (0-0) after 120 minutes.
Around 300 club members took part in the general meeting of SV Darmstadt 98 on October 28th. Anne Baumann (presidium member for finance) announced positive figures in the Böllenfalltorhalle for the financial year from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024: The Lilies had total sales of 61.95 million euros and generated a profit after taxes of 5.42 million euros. At the end of the reporting period, the club's positive equity amounted to 22.53 million euros.
President Rüdiger Fritsch: “The messed up Bundesliga season was dealt with self-critically, but it did not affect our club in its foundations. SV Darmstadt 98 is established in professional football and has a good foundation. We can keep our heads up.”
During the general meeting, the members present approved a proposal from the executive committee to change the statutes, which would expand the powers of the board of directors. For questions of particular economic and legal importance for the association, the existing submission requirements will be transferred to a catalog of transactions requiring approval. This means that the Presidium must obtain the approval of the Board of Directors for previously defined circumstances.
In order to encourage even more people to register children as members of the SV 98 after birth, it was also decided at the general meeting that supporting membership in the “Bölle Bande” is free of charge until they reach the age of one. The new membership fee structure is intended to further strengthen the growth of members at Lilien.
The members of the board of the sports departments and the fan and support department (FuFa) were confirmed in their positions. Gerda Krüger, Jürgen Pforr and Peter Schmidt were again elected to the Council of Elders.
