Transfer News: Stark Strengthens U21’s
The U21 team of SV Darmstadt 98 can welcome a familiar face to their ranks for the upcoming season: Yannick Stark will play for the Lilies in the Hessenliga in the future.
In memory of the victims of National Socialism! Next Monday (January 27th) will be the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp. To mark this occasion, SV Darmstadt 98 is organising a memorial walk from Schlossgartenplatz to Dr.-Karl-Heß-Platz. A wreath-laying ceremony including various speeches will take place at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor.
The memorial walk of the Lilies starts at 5:15pm at Schlossgartenplatz in Darmstadt, the place where SV 98 was founded. The path then continues through Ernst-Ludwig-Straße, Holzstraße, past the Jugendstilbad, then along Hochstrasse and Annastrasse to the end point on the Dr.-Karl-Hess-Platz at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. Along its route, the memorial walk stops at various stumbling blocks that commemorate 1998 people who were persecuted or murdered during the Nazi era.
A wreath-laying ceremony will take place at the Dr.-Karl-Heß-Platz in front of the Merck Stadium at the Böllenfalltor at around 7:15pm. This will be accompanied by speeches – including from the club’s history department and the council of elders of SV Darmstadt 98 as well as Darmstadt’s mayor Hanno Benz.
SV Darmstadt 98 invites the entire Lilien family to take part in the memorial walk on Monday under the motto “Never Again!”.
