Renovation work completed: public training possible again

SV 98 has completed the renovation work on its training ground. This means that viewers will be able to follow public training sessions live again from next week. This was not possible during the measures to expand the lawn area due to the construction site.

Paul Fernie: „We are not only very pleased that the work has been completed and the training infrastructure has been further improved, but above all that our fans can now be part of our units up close again. Having to train completely without their presence over the past few months and therefore having fewer opportunities to interact with them during the week felt strange. I am glad that this time is over and hope that from now on as many fans as possible will be present at training again.“

From now on, SV 98 will once again announce on its website which units are public and therefore accessible to training enthusiasts.

The SV Darmstadt 98 U21 team unfortunately came away empty-handed last Saturday (April 18th) visiting KSV Baunatal: The young Lilies conceded the decisive goal late in stoppage time, resulting in a 1-0 final score. Darmstadt had managed to hold their own against the fourth-placed team in the Hessenliga for almost the entire match. "A very bitter defeat after a really good performance," explained U21 coach Sebastian Schmitt to sv98.de.
