I like the type of football Darmstadt wants to play, and I believe that my style of play fits in very well with the team. I already know a few of the players, and I’ve heard only positive things about the club from them. Now I’m looking forward to getting to know all of my other teammates and experiencing the Bölle at a home game for the first time on Saturday.“
Richter trained in the youth teams of Bayern Munich and FC Augsburg, among others. At FCA, the 27-year-old made the leap into the professional team, for which the Friedberg native made 102 competitive appearances, 97 of them in the Bundesliga. Between August 2021 and August 2024, Richter appeared in 79 further top-flight matches for Hertha BSC and 1. FSV Mainz 05. Last season, the right-footer played on loan at Hamburger SV, appearing in 28 competitive matches.
The former junior international and Olympic athlete will wear the number 23 in Darmstadt.
