SV 98's first preparation dates for the 2025/26 second-division season have been set: On June 20th, the first team will return to the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor to undergo various medical tests and performance assessments. The first team training session will take place on June 22, kicking off at 2pm.
The training session at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor is open to the public, and spectators are welcome. The first friendly match is scheduled for June 29th: At 2pm, the Lilies will face group league team SV Traisa. Another friendly match is planned for July 2nd against Viktoria Aschaffenburg. The exact venue is still to be determined. The match on July 9th has already been confirmed: At 6:30pm, the Lilies will host the traditional English club Notts County at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. This year’s SV 98 training camp will take place in the Allgäu region. From July 10th to 18th, the Lilies will be in Bad Wörishofen. The Lilies will be staying at the Parkhotel Residence and training will take place on the grounds of FC Bad Wörishofen. As part of the training camp, the South Hesse team will play a friendly match on July 17th.
The team and coaching staff will be getting ready with the fans on July 23rd: The traditional season opener at the Bölle kicks off at 4:30pm. The dress rehearsal before the start of the second division season will take place on July 26th. SV 98 will provide further information on the opponent and venue in due course. The first competitive match will take place on the weekend of August 1st to 3rd. The fixture schedule will be published on June 27th.
Autographs, photos, and personal encounters with the Lilies: You'll have the opportunity to do so on Thursday (May 7th) from 5pm to 6pm. As part of an autograph session presented by Merck, Patric Pfeiffer, Kai Klefisch, and Fynn Lakenmacher will be at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. A bitter end in Karlsruhe: After 90 entertaining minutes in which both teams sought salvation in attack, Darmstadt suffered a narrow defeat. The final score was 2-1 after a late goal from the home side, following Isac Lidberg's earlier equaliser. After the match, the players were particularly frustrated with the missed opportunities in the first half.
The away form continues to be poor: SV 98 suffered a 2-1 (0-0) defeat against Karlsruher SC. Lidberg scored the equaliser for the team from southern Hesse in the 70th minute.
