This is because FSV Fernwald would forego promotion, and RW Walldorf and Eintracht Stadtallendorf have not applied for a Regionalliga license. However, the Darmstadt team would have to finish at least fourth in the final standings, as the regulations stipulate that promotion is no longer possible from fifth place onwards.
