United in style and history – the new home jersey of SV 98

United in style and history – this is the motto under which SV Darmstadt 98 has released its new home jersey for the 2025/26 season. The classic Lily blue jersey is a blend of tradition, culture, and art.

The new kit is characterised by various art-historical elements from the Art Nouveau and Gothic periods. A lot of history resonates, as Darmstadt developed into a centre of Art Nouveau in Germany at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Gothic architecture also has a firm place in Darmstadt’s cityscape, for example in the form of the so-called „Foundation Church“ on Schlossgartenplatz. Characteristics of these trends run throughout the jersey, which was produced by SV 98 together with supplier CRAFT: For example, the finely embossed pattern, which subtly extends across the entire front and back of the jersey in an ornamental look. It combines stylized elements that symbolically showcase both the city of Darmstadt and SV 98. The striking Wedding Tower and the characteristic window of the „Foundation Church“ from the city’s architecture are reflected. The club itself is represented by the iconic fleur-de-lis and the crests of its two predecessor clubs, FK Olympia and Darmstädter SC 1905.

The collar and cuffs feature a blue and white striped pattern. A white embroidered fleur-de-lis is emblazoned on the chest. The back features the „Darmstadt“ lettering in a characteristic Art Nouveau typography. Above it is a stylized church window with the club’s abbreviation „svd98.“

The look is rounded out by main partner HAIX and sleeve partner Suzuki, who depicted their logo in negative form or omitted other colours from their logo. This ensures that the home jersey is exclusively blue and white.

The jersey is available now online and on the day of the sale as part of a scavenger hunt from 3pm to 7 pm throughout Darmstadt. The GPS signal will be published on the SV 98 website. The first ten Lilien fans to discover the mobile sales and say the code word „Jugendstil“ will receive a free jersey.

Starting Wednesday, the home jersey, which is available for €84.98 (adults) and €59.98 (children), can also be purchased regularly in the two fan shops at Friedensplatz and at the stadium. All buyers who purchase the new adult version of the home jersey by July 22nd will have the opportunity to purchase the kids‘ jersey at half price.

The jersey will make its debut on Wednesday evening (July 9th) at the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor: At 6:30pm, the Lilies will face the storied English club Notts County in a friendly match.
