For all Darmstadt 98 fans traveling to the Betzenberg stadium: Around the time of the away match against Kaiserslautern, the club is offering a special train service that runs directly to Kaiserslautern and back to Darmstadt after the game. This service can be used with a regular „Deutschland-Ticket“ (local public transport ticket), so no separate ticket is required.

Before kickoff, club president Markus Pfitzner and Martin Heimes, the father of Jonathan Heimes, who passed away from cancer about ten years ago, paid tribute to „Johnny“ in their speeches. They particularly honored his special significance to SV Darmstadt 98 and his tireless commitment to people with cancer.
Martin Heimes expressed his gratitude and joy that his son’s legacy lives on even ten years after his death. „I’m pleased that not only is Jonathan still remembered here in the stadium, but also our initiative,“ said Heimes.
The Martinsviertel Boxing Club (BKMV) is about to open its doors: On Thursday, September 3rd, the new program will open its doors for the first time at 5pm in the Baas Hall (Pankratiusstraße 35). Children and teenagers, along with their parents, are invited to get to know the boxing club and gain their first experience in the sport.
The BKMV is a joint project of SV Darmstadt 98, Rope e.V., and the Darmstadt Youth Services. Rope e.V. will be running the program. Regular training will begin one week after the open house.
At the opening event, visitors can learn about the program and even try it out themselves. Food and drinks will be provided. This free program is aimed at young people and young adults aged 12 to 21. The necessary equipment will be provided by the boxing club. Registration for the open house is possible without obligation.
In their first match of the U21 Bundesliga Talent Series, Darmstadt faced SV Elversberg. After falling behind 2-0, Patrick Kurt’s team managed to draw 3-3.
