Arrival by Deutsche Bahn / Shuttle buses:

Arrival by train is via regular Deutsche Bahn trains to Darmstadt Central Station. From there, change to the VIAS Odenwaldbahn towards Groß-Umstadt/Wiebelsbach and get off at the TU-Lichtwiese stop. After a walk of approximately 15 minutes, you will reach the away entrance of the stadium. For matches where a large number of away fans are expected to arrive by train, shuttle buses will be available at the main station to take you directly to the stadium (away section) and back to the main station after the match. Please use the WEST exit at the main station (take the stairs up to the gallery from the platform and then turn right to the exit). The shuttle buses will be waiting at Europaplatz, located directly in front of the station.

Refrain from throwing cups and objects!

During recent matches, we have observed an increasing number of cups being thrown, and as a result, we will not only receive penalties from the DFB (German Football Association) sports court but have also had to issue numerous nationwide stadium bans of up to two years.

Please refrain from throwing objects! You are endangering others and committing dangerous bodily harm under Section 224 of the German Criminal Code. It is irrelevant whether someone is actually hit and injured by the cup.

Cannabis use remains prohibited

The consumption of cannabis remains prohibited under current legislation (prohibition in sports facilities).

Away fans in home sections

Based on recent experiences, SV 98 would like to draw your attention to the following rules and precautions that apply to this match:

Wearing away team merchandise is not permitted in the areas of the opposite stand (blocks G1-G3, A, O2-O4) and the south stand.

The club, the police, and the stadium management are authorized to deny away fans access to these areas, even if they possess a valid ticket, and/or to remove them from these areas and, if sufficient space is available, to take them to the away section of the stadium. If no other suitable seat can be offered, the away fan in question may be removed from the stadium or denied entry; in this case, no compensation will be provided.

Note to fans of the Lilies

SV 98 generally welcomes members using their pre-sale right to give tickets to people in their personal lives. However, they caution that passing tickets on to visiting fans can always involve potential security risks or diminish the home advantage for SV 98 – no one should assume they are the only SV 98 fan doing others a favour. Pre-sale tickets are exclusively for SV 98 members and fans. Anyone using their pre-sale right to give tickets to visiting fans must expect, according to the existing ticket terms and conditions, a restriction of their preferential rights, up to and including the revocation of their season ticket/membership.

The (profitable) resale of tickets is completely unacceptable, regardless of the method. If discovered, this will result in the immediate blocking of the ticket, rendering it worthless to the buyer as well, and no refunds will be issued. SV 98 reserves the right to take further action, such as blocking season tickets, revoking membership, or issuing stadium bans. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to use the ticket exchange at sv98.de.

SV 98 is obligated to provide the visiting team with up to 100 tickets in the best category (main stand). The visiting team is responsible for selling these tickets.

Important topic full standing room blocks

This match is also expected to see almost full standing room. SV 98 therefore asks all fans to arrive early and, as soon as the stadium opens, to take up positions as far away from the stairs and block entrances as possible. Under no circumstances should fans stand on the stairs or directly in the entrance area. Your friends in your block may not be able to get into the stands or leave safely – regardless of medical assistance. We can only succeed together!

Experience shows that there are usually still gaps in the lower rows and on the outer edges of the blocks, while there is a bottleneck at the block entrance at kickoff. Furthermore, fewer standing tickets were sold than permitted. Nevertheless, everyone’s cooperation is needed to ensure a pleasant experience for all fans.

Weather Forecast

Temperatures of around 5 degrees Celsius are expected in Darmstadt with partly cloudy skies. The probability of precipitation is 0 percent.

Fraser Hornby had uttered it, setting the tone for his teammates and himself. What followed was a remarkable second half from Darmstadt 98 and a point against SV Elversberg, a point that, while likely insufficient for their promotion hopes in southern Hesse, nonetheless filled the Darmstadt fans with pride.

Opposition Check: SV Elversberg

In the world of football, a yo-yo team is a team that oscillates between two leagues – too good for one league, but not quite at the level of the next higher one. The result is usually many promotions and many relegations. But SV Elversberg is currently redefining the term. For several years now, the yo-yo has been taking SVE almost exclusively upwards.

Fabian Holland: Lilies era ends after the season

The end of an era. Fabian Holland's twelfth season in the Lilies' jersey will be his last with SV 98. The 35-year-old's contract, which expires at the end of the season, will not be renewed. The club informed Holland of this decision in a confidential meeting. Both club and player agree to focus entirely on achieving the best possible end to the season until the final match and that any plans for a farewell celebration will depend on how the rest of the season unfolds.
