Transfer News: Stark Strengthens U21’s
The U21 team of SV Darmstadt 98 can welcome a familiar face to their ranks for the upcoming season: Yannick Stark will play for the Lilies in the Hessenliga in the future.
Kai Klefisch looks at the current situation of the Lilies and is looking forward to a “great game” on Saturday evening (November 30th/8:30pm) in the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor against SC Preußen Münster. There will also be a collection campaign around the match day at the Bölle: with your cup donation you can help the flood victims near Valencia. We also look at the SV 98 fan team and successful Lilies on the PS5 controller. You can find out everything you need to know about our sports club in „Lilies Across the Board.
Kai Klefisch has a smile on his face as he comes to the media roundtable with the journalists present on Wednesday (November 27th). “It’s a lot more fun when you win,” he says, but at the same time emphasises: “We worked hard for that. In this league you don’t get anything for free.” The Lilies have been unbeaten in seven competitive games and have recently collected four wins in a row including the cup. But rest on that? None. “You can always work on yourself – especially when it comes to the details. Nothing comes by itself. That’s why we don’t stop. “We’ll carry on,” explains Klefisch. A “difficult task” awaits Preußen Münster on Saturday evening, as the SV 98 midfielder emphasises. Klefisch: “It will be a difficult game, but also a great game. 8.30pm, Saturday evening, here at home at the Bölle: That’s where it’s the most fun!”
El Saler, south of Valencia, will once again be the destination of the SV Darmstadt 98 professionals‘ training camp this winter. But the region in and around Valencia was recently hit by a severe flood disaster, which also affected the nearby sports club “Castellar Oliveral C.F. “Pobles del Sud” has been severely affected. The club’s football pitch is now a swamp and cabins and training materials have largely been destroyed. In order to help those affected, SV Darmstadt 98 and its fans are calling for a collection campaign. At the Lilien’s next home game against SC Preußen Münster (November 30th/8:30pm), fans can hand in their deposit cups on the stadium grounds and do good with their donation. Instead of keeping the deposit amount of 2 euros yourself, the money goes directly to supporting the sports club in question. Collection stands will be set up around the Merck Stadium where you can donate your cups.
Get involved – every support counts!
After a weekend break without games, the SV Darmstadt 98 fan team continues in the district league C Darmstadt. Most recently, the “zwote Zwote” was able to win three games in a row despite a tough English week. Of course, the SV 98 team would like to build on that in the next game. This won’t be easy, because SKG Nieder-Beerbach has a direct pursuer waiting for the Lilies on Sunday (December 1st/5:30pm). If they win this duel, the Darmstadt team would really dock into the promotion places. Then they would only be one point behind second in the table with the same number of games. Lots of subjunctive, the 90 minutes on the field will provide clarity: Anyone who would like to follow the game live is warmly invited to stop by Ostendstrasse in Pfungstadt and cheer on the boys in such an important game.
In addition to our professionals, the guys on the controller are currently in a good mood. After five match days, the eLilien are in fourth place in the South-East Division of the Virtual Bundesliga with twelve points. In the season so far they have only lost one of their games and won four times against their direct competitors FC Augsburg, Hertha BSC, TSG Hoffenheim and most recently they prevailed in the duel with 1. FC Heidenheim. The SV 98 eFootballers now have a clash with 1. FC Nürnberg on Wednesday (November 27th/5:30pm). You can watch the game together as usual from 5:20 p.m on our Livestream here
SV Darmstadt 98 in the home game against SC Preußen Münster? This duel last took place in October 2013. One man has very special memories of this game from back then. Dominik Stroh-Engel scored three goals in the Lilies‘ 4-0 win against Münster. So the man knows how to score against Preußen Münster. In any case, the former center forward of the Lilies has a perfect goal instinct. In 98 games for SVD he scored a total of 42 goals. On Wednesday (November 27th) the all-time top scorer in the third division celebrates his 39th birthday, on which we warmly congratulate him. Happy Birthday, Dodo!
Former team manager Helmut “Bubu” Koch can also look forward to his 77th special day on Saturday (November 30th). Formerly the good soul of the Lilies for many years, he is still committed to SV 98 today – specifically for the traditional team. It therefore remains an integral part of the Lily family. SV Darmstadt 98 wishes you a happy birthday, Bubu!
