4th Edition of the Bölle Band Light Run
On Wednesday evening (November, 4th), the annual Lichterlauf (lantern walk) at the Böllenfalltor once again brought joy to many children. Around 60 members of the Bölle Bande (Bölle Gang) gathered with their parents, carrying colourful lanterns to take part in what has now become the fourth edition of the event.
The participants were welcomed by Lilien professionals Lance Duijvestijn and Grayson Dettoni. In addition to receiving small gifts, the children were delighted to get autographs and take souvenir photos with the players.
Afterward, young and old alike set off through the stadium, carrying their glowing lanterns. The route took them along the edge of the pitch and past the stands. The colourful lantern procession made brief stops near the North Stand, the opposite stand, and the South Stand, where everyone joined in singing traditional lantern songs as well as chants dedicated to the Lilien.
Once the many lanterns had illuminated the home stadium, the participants were able to enjoy mulled wine, children’s fruit punch, and Weckmänner (traditional pastry figures), bringing the evening to a cosy conclusion.
Christmas donation from children for children
Once again this year, the focus was on a good cause: under the motto „From children for children,“ participants collected nearly 500 lovingly packed Christmas parcels, intended as a donation for disadvantaged children in Eastern Europe.
