For the upcoming home match on Friday (September 11, 2026, at 6:30pm), SV 98 asks you to take note of the following information. Starting this season, we are introducing dedicated entrances for women at the west side of the stadium. Additionally, there is a "Bölle Bande" family entrance offering easier access at Karl-Hess-Platz.
The match starts at 6:30pm. The stadium opens 90 minutes beforehand.
The car park for visiting fans opens at 3:30pm.
The RMV-KombiTicket remains included with the stadium ticket at no extra cost. However, for matchday tickets and digital „WirLilien“ tickets, a separate digital retrieval step will be required prior to each home game. SV 98 asks all „Lilien“ fans to travel to the Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor early and—if possible—by public transport, on foot, or by bicycle. Travel via the RMV is included in the ticket price.

To arrive by train, take a standard Deutsche Bahn service to Darmstadt Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). From there, transfer to the VIAS Odenwaldbahn train heading towards Groß-Umstadt/Wiebelsbach and get off at the „TU-Lichtwiese“ stop. A walk of approximately 15 minutes will bring you to the stadium’s away entrance. For matches where a large number of away fans are expected to arrive by train, shuttle buses will be available at the central station to take you directly to the stadium (away section) and back to the station after the match. Please use the „WEST“ exit at the central station (from the platform, take the stairs up to the concourse and turn right to reach the exit). The shuttle buses will be waiting at Europaplatz, located directly in front of the station.
Climbing over fences and entering the inner area is not permitted without the organiser’s authorisation.
During recent matches, we have observed an increase in the throwing of cups; consequently, not only will we face penalties from the DFB disciplinary committee, but we have also been compelled to issue numerous nationwide stadium bans lasting up to two years.
Please refrain from throwing objects! You are endangering others and committing the offense of dangerous bodily harm under Section 224 of the Criminal Code. It makes no difference whether someone is actually struck or injured by the cup.
Cannabis consumption remains prohibited under current legislation (ban in sports facilities).
Based on recent experiences, SV 98 wishes to draw attention to the following regulations and measures applicable to this match:
Wearing or displaying fan merchandise associated with the visiting team is not permitted in the areas of the back straight (blocks G1–G3, A, O2–O4) and the South Stand.
The club, the police, and the security staff are authorized to deny visiting fans—even those holding a valid ticket—entry to these areas and/or to remove them from these areas and, provided sufficient space is available, relocate them to the stadium’s designated away section. If no other suitable seating can be offered, the visiting fan in question may be ejected from the stadium or denied entry; no claim for compensation exists in such cases.
SV 98 generally welcomes it when members exercise their right of first refusal to treat people in their personal circle. However, the club wishes to point out for the future that passing tickets on to fans of the visiting team can entail potential security risks or diminish the „Lilies'“ home-field advantage—one should not assume one is the only Lilies fan doing a favor for others. The advance sale is intended exclusively for SV 98 members and fans. Anyone who uses their right of first refusal to supply visiting fans with tickets faces—in accordance with the established ticket terms and conditions—restrictions on their preferential rights, up to and including the revocation of their season ticket or membership.
The resale of tickets for profit—regardless of the method used—is completely unacceptable. If such activity comes to light, the ticket will be immediately blocked, rendering it worthless to the buyer, and no claims for a refund will be entertained. SV 98 reserves the right to take further measures, such as blocking season tickets, revoking memberships, or issuing stadium bans. Instead, if unable to attend, fans are encouraged to use the official ticket exchange platform at sv98.de.
SV 98 is required to make up to 100 top-category tickets (main stand) available to the visiting club. The sale of these tickets is the responsibility of the visiting club.
For this match, too, the standing areas are expected to reach near-full capacity. SV 98 therefore asks all fans to arrive early and, as soon as the stadium opens, to take up positions as far away as possible from the stairways and block entrances. Under no circumstances should fans remain standing on the stairs or directly in the tunnel exits. Doing so could prevent friends in your block from accessing the stand or—regardless of any medical interventions—make it difficult for them to leave without hassle. We can only make this work by working together!
Experience shows that gaps often remain in the lower rows or outer sections of the blocks, even while congestion builds up at the entrances at kickoff. Furthermore, fewer standing tickets were sold than the permitted limit. Nevertheless, ensuring a pleasant experience for everyone requires the cooperation of all fans.

SV 98 finally secured their long-awaited victory on Friday evening. While the team from southern Hesse didn't exactly put on a dazzling display of football against Arminia Bielefeld, their pragmatic approach and strong mentality earned them three points. It was a success whose foundation had been laid in the preceding days.
The long-awaited three points are finally here! In a hard-fought but also disjointed match on Friday evening, Darmstadt showed character and didn't let setbacks get them down, even if not everything went perfectly during the 90 minutes. We've compiled the post-match reactions for you here:
A crucial home win for Darmstadt! SV Darmstadt 98 defeated Arminia Bielefeld 2-1 (1-0). Lee (3') gave the home side an early lead, and after the visitors from East Westphalia equalised, Smit (86') sealed the victory with a penalty.

Arminia Bielefeld hosted SV Arminia Hannover and delivered a performance that remains unmatched to this day. DSC Bielefeld swept aside their opponents with an 11-0 victory. It was not only an extraordinary rout, but also remains the biggest win in the history of the 2. Bundesliga.
On Thursday (September 10), the Bundesliga finalised the exact scheduling for Matchdays 7 through 13. For Matchday 7, we host Energie Cottbus on a Saturday. A week later, we travel on a Sunday to face Karlsruher SC at the Wildpark, before welcoming FC St. Pauli to the Böllenfalltor for a Friday evening match under the floodlights on Matchday 9. The following two matchdays—at home against Magdeburg and away in Nürnberg—are both scheduled for Saturdays. Matchdays 12 and 13 will subsequently take place on Friday evenings.
A familiar face is returning to SV 98: The "Lilies" have signed Marco Richter. The 28-year-old previously played for the South Hessian club on loan last season. Richter had agreed to the termination of his contract with 1. FSV Mainz 05 on September 1st, making it possible to sign the attacking midfielder even after the transfer window had closed.
September 10th marks the tenth anniversary of a very special moment in the recent history of SV Darmstadt 98. During the Hessian derby against Eintracht Frankfurt on that day in 2016, Sandro Sirigu scored the decisive goal—and secured an unforgettable 1–0 home victory for the Lilien—shortly before the final whistle with a delivery that was actually intended as a cross.
