Organisational information for the home match against St. Pauli

For the upcoming home match on Friday (October 23rd, 2026, at 6:30pm), SV 98 asks that you take note of the following information.

Foto: SV 98

Since the start of the season, we have been providing dedicated entrances for women at the western side of the stadium. In addition, there is a „Bölle Bande“ family entrance at Karl-Hess-Platz, which offers easier access.

Furthermore, the new bicycle parking area on Nieder-Ramstädter Straße (adjacent to the training pitch) is now available for use. Please note that securing bicycles to items such as crowd-control barriers, doors, or gates is not permitted; bicycles found attached in this manner may be removed.

Fundamentally important for everyone:

  • The match is sold out. Remaining tickets may be available via the ticket exchange.
  • Visiting fans (blocks X1, X2, and Y) must use the North-East entrance (Böllenfalltorweg) and present a printed copy of their ticket.
  • Wearing or displaying fan gear of the visiting team is not permitted in the home sections located on the opposite straight (A, O2–O4 & G1–G3) and the South Stand.

Stadium opening and kick-off time

The match begins at 6:30pm. The stadium opens 90 minutes prior, at 5p,.
The parking garage for visiting fans opens at 3:30pm.

Arrival/Parking/Departure

The RMV-KombiTicket remains included with your stadium ticket at no extra cost. However, for single-match tickets and digital „WirLilien“ tickets, a separate digital retrieval step will now be required before every home game. Full details on this new process can be found here

(RMV-KombiTicket: New retrieval process for single-match tickets and digital „WirLilien“ tickets – SV Darmstadt 1898 e.V.)

SV 98 asks all Lilien fans to arrive at the Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor as early as possible—ideally by public transport, on foot, or by bicycle. Travel to the stadium via the RMV (Rhine-Main Transport Association) network is included in the price of your ticket.

Ground Plan

Entry Situation

The stadium has four entrances, which are divided into home and away sections:

  • Home section (North, South, and Main stands, as well as the opposite straight): access via the South-West (Lilienschänke), North-West (Karl-Hess-Platz), and South-East (Traisaer Straße) entrances.
  • Away section (X1, X2, and Y): Access exclusively via the North-East entrance (Böllenfalltorweg)
  • VIP guests: Access via the separate North-West entrance (Karl-Hess-Platz).

Changes for the 2026/2027 season:

  • Entrances for women: Separate entrances for women are available at the southwest (“Lilienschänke”) and northwest (“Karl-Hess-Platz”) access points. These are marked with designated beach flags. We kindly ask all female visitors to use these entrances whenever possible. Naturally, the mixed-gender entrances remain open for use as well; however, please be aware that using the southwest entrance may result in longer wait times.
  • Bölle Bande Family Entrance: The Bölle Bande family entrance is located at the North-West entrance (“Karl-Hess-Platz”). It is intended for families with children up to and including the age of 13. Membership in the “Bölle Bande” is not required. To ensure the most pleasant stadium experience possible for families with children, a separate entry lane is provided here, designed to be family-friendly and as stress-free as possible. This access point is also marked with a beach flag. Further details can be found here:With Children at the Stadium – SV Darmstadt 1898 e.V.

Tickets

  • On the day of the match, tickets can be upgraded for a corresponding fee at the service point (located at the Böllenfalltorhalle entrance) outside the stadium.
  • Children up to and including the age of 5 do not require a ticket and may enter the stadium free of charge. From the age of 6, children require a child’s day ticket.
  • A limited number of tickets in the home section are available for referees. These referee tickets (for standing room) can be collected at the service point located next to the entrance area of the Böllenfalltorhalle.
  • Please be advised that the use of counterfeit tickets or unauthorised entry will be reported to the authorities.

Arrival via Deutsche Bahn / shuttle buses:

If you are traveling by train, take a regular Deutsche Bahn service to Darmstadt Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). From there, transfer to the VIAS Odenwald Railway (Odenwaldbahn) heading toward Groß-Umstadt/Wiebelsbach and get off at the „TU-Lichtwiese“ stop. From there, it is an approximately 15-minute walk to the stadium’s away-fan entrance. For matches where a large number of visiting fans are expected to arrive by train, shuttle buses will be available at the Central Station to take you directly to the stadium (away-fan section) and back to the station after the match. Please use the „WEST“ exit at the Central Station (from the platform, take the stairs up to the concourse and turn right toward the exit). The shuttle buses will be waiting at Europaplatz, located directly in front of the station.

Entering the field of play is prohibited.

Climbing over fences and entering the field of play is not permitted without authorisation from the event organiser.

Do not throw cups or other objects!

During recent matches, we have observed an increase in the throwing of cups. As a result, not only will we face penalties from the DFB (German Football Association) sports court, but we have also been compelled to issue numerous stadium bans—valid nationwide—for periods of up to two years.

Please refrain from throwing objects! By doing so, you endanger others and commit the offense of „dangerous bodily harm“ under Section 224 of the German Criminal Code. It is irrelevant whether or not someone is actually struck and injured by a cup.

Cannabis consumption prohibited

Under current legislation, the consumption of cannabis remains prohibited (it is banned in sports facilities).

Visiting fans in home sections

Based on recent experiences, SV 98 would like to draw attention to the following regulations and measures in effect for this match:

Displaying or wearing fan gear associated with the visiting team is not permitted in the areas of the back straight (blocks G1–G3, A, O2–O4) or the South Stand.

The club, the police, and the stadium security staff reserve the right to deny entry to these areas—or to remove individuals from them—even if those individuals hold a valid ticket. If sufficient space is available, such individuals may be relocated to the designated away section of the stadium. If no other suitable space can be provided, the visiting fan in question may be removed from the stadium or denied entry; in such cases, there is no entitlement to compensation.

Note to Lilien fans

SV 98 generally welcomes it when members use their priority purchasing rights to do a favor for people in their personal circle. However, the club wishes to point out that passing tickets on to fans of the visiting team can potentially create security risks or diminish the „home-field advantage“ enjoyed by the Lilien—one should not assume that they are the only Lilien fan doing such a favour for others. The advance sale period is intended exclusively for members and fans of SV 98. Anyone who uses their priority purchasing right to provide tickets to visiting fans may face restrictions on their priority privileges—up to and including the revocation of their season ticket or membership—in accordance with the established ticket terms and conditions.

The resale of tickets for profit—by any means whatsoever—is completely unacceptable. If such activity comes to light, the ticket in question will be immediately voided, rendering it worthless to the buyer; no claims for a refund will be entertained. SV 98 reserves the right to take further action, such as blocking a season ticket, revoking membership, or issuing a stadium ban. If you are unable to attend a match, please use the club’s official ticket exchange platform at sv98.de instead.

SV 98 is required to provide the visiting club with up to 100 tickets in the best category (main grandstand). The sale of these tickets is the responsibility of the visiting club.

Area with fully standing-room-only sections

For this match, we anticipate that the standing-room areas will reach near-full capacity. SV 98 therefore asks all fans to arrive early and, once the stadium gates open, to take up positions as far away from the stairways and block entrances as possible. Please do not, under any circumstances, remain standing on the stairs or directly in the tunnel/entryway. Doing so may prevent your friends from reaching their spots in the stands, or—regardless of any potential need for medical assistance—hinder them from leaving the area freely. We can only make this work by looking out for one another!

Experience has shown that there is usually still space available in the lower rows or toward the outer edges of the blocks, even when congestion builds up near the entrances as kickoff approaches. Furthermore, fewer standing-room tickets were sold than the maximum permitted capacity. Nevertheless, ensuring a comfortable experience for all fans requires the cooperation of everyone.

Weather Forecast

Temperatures of 14 degrees Celsius are expected, with sunshine. The probability of precipitation is 85 percent.

Youth Academy Training: When training should be more than just strenuous

Plenty of movement, a high tempo, and as few interruptions as possible—but does a strenuous training session automatically equate to an effective one? Nearly 90 coaches explored these questions during the fifth professional development seminar hosted by the youth academy of the Lilien (SV Darmstadt 98). Under the theme "Effective Training – Optimizing Intensity," the club’s youth academy invited coaches from the surrounding area to attend the session—free of charge—at the Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor. Participants gained practical insights into the targeted management of training loads and had the opportunity to exchange ideas with coaches from other clubs.
